FAQs

Is the Engineers Foundation a registered charity?

Yes, we are a registered charity: CRA #104001573RR0001. Donations are tax deductible, and a charitable tax receipt will be sent to you upon receipt of your donation.

How can I be considered for a scholarship?

Each university has its own process for applying to our awards. We recommend contacting each of the schools to which you have been accepted to find out their process. The Foundation does not participate in selecting the recipients of the awards.

Is the Engineers Foundation part of PEO?

The Engineers Foundation (also known as Foundation for Education) was founded by volunteers of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) in 1959. However, due to its charitable status, it now operates as an independent entity. We are deeply grateful for the support of our partners, Professional Engineers Ontario and Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).

Where can I get an application?

At all universities, our Undergraduate Scholarships require an application. For the Entrance Scholarships,  some universities automatically consider every student for the award, while at others, you will need to apply. Check with each of the schools to which you have been accepted to confirm the details.
