GivingTuesday
One Small Gift From you, One Giant Impact for Future Engineers
This GivingTuesday, help the Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education support the next generation of engineers and enter for your chance to own a remarkable piece of engineering history.
Support the Next Generation of Engineers
From November 1 through GivingTuesday, December 1, 2026, we invite you to make a donation to the Foundation and help invest in the future of engineering in Ontario.
The cost of pursuing a postsecondary education continues to put financial pressure on students and their families. Beyond tuition, students face the rising costs of housing, food, transportation, textbooks, and other essential expenses.
Your generosity helps the Foundation provide scholarships and awards to engineering students across Ontario, easing some of that financial burden while recognizing academic achievement and supporting talented students as they prepare to become the next generation of engineers.
Eligible donations will receive an official charitable donation receipt in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.
Enter for Your Chance to Win a Piece of Apollo 11 History
As part of our GivingTuesday campaign, we’re giving away a remarkable piece of engineering history: a professionally framed commemorative display containing an authentic fragment of space-flown Kapton thermal insulation from Columbia, the Apollo 11 Command Module.
Kapton, a high-performance insulating film, played an important role in protecting spacecraft components from extreme temperatures during NASA’s Apollo missions. This unique artifact offers a tangible connection to one of the greatest engineering and technological achievements in human history.
This limited-edition presentation is #397 of only 1,969 produced, includes a Certificate of Authenticity documenting the provenance of the Kapton foil, and has an approximate value of $400.
No purchase or donation is necessary to enter. Making a donation will not increase your chances of winning.
The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 1, 2026. One potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received and must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question before being declared the winner.
Open to Ontario residents who have reached the age of majority. Limit of one entry per person. See official contest rules for complete details.
Your Gift Can Help Engineer the Future
Apollo 11 represents what can be achieved through engineering, innovation, and determination. Your support of the Foundation helps today’s engineering students pursue their education and prepares the next generation to take on the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
Every gift makes a difference. This GivingTuesday, invest in the engineers of tomorrow and celebrate the achievements of those who came before them.
